Xi Omicron Lambda Chapter was established at Fort Myers, Florida on Tuesday, July 19, 1983. The Original Charter members were Brothers: Reginald D. Billups, Frederick L. Carter, C.J. Clark, Walter Idlette, Jr., Willie Long, Barron Morris, Lovie L. Wells, Jr., and Lovie L. Wells, Sr.
Xi Omicron Lambda was re-chartered in 2004 though the tenacity of Brothers: Tony Barringer, Winston Bishop, Gregory Brock, Vincent June, Robert Norris, Lovie Wells Jr., and Lovie Wells Sr.*

In 2004, the Xi Omicron Lambda Chapter was re-charted through the tenacity and fortitude of Brothers: Vincent June, Robert Norris, Winston Bishop, Lovie Wells, Jr., Lovie Wells, Sr., Gregory Brock Sr., and Tony Barringer. Since its re-chartering, the members of the Chapter have been making great strides to make a difference within the Fort Myers and surrounding communities we serve. Under the leadership of Gregory Brock, Sr., the SWFL Alpha Educational and Leadership Foundation was created and incorporated on October 7, 2015 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The members of the chapter serve as the Board of Directors of the foundation.
The Xi Omicron Lambda Chapter and SWFL Alpha Educational and Leadership Foundation have been providing leadership through its many service and community engagement efforts such as the annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. UNITY Breakfast, Alpha Scholarship Program, Black & Gold Ball, Project Alpha, and March of Dimes. The brothers of Xi Omicron Lambda have held or continue to hold positions and work with the following community organizations as servant leaders outside of their professional careers:
